THE BEST OF THE BEST - SPLASH FM AND WINNER TOOLS
09/05/2012
Splash FM, Worthing’s radio station is bringing a touch of Summer Madness to Steyne Gardens. The Los Palmas 6 (Madness tribute act) has just been announced as headline act for the Splash FM Garden Party on Saturday 21st of July. Also returning is Navi – The World’s Number 1 tribute to Michael Jackson
The concert represents the station’s biggest event, involving a huge team effort from all members of the company. Garden Party main organiser, David Cunningham commented “Coming up with crowd-pleasing bands year after year becomes a real challenge to top the last”.
The Splash FM Garden Party has become one of the town’s most popular events drawing in family audiences of around 6,000 to see some of the greatest tribute bands in the world. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Splash FM staging the live annual concert and earlier this year an online survey was conducted asking which of our headline acts, from the past few years, was the most popular. The results are now in!
David commented “In essence, we asked, we listened, we booked! This year it’s the Best of the Best and we’re very excited!”
Returning to the Splash FM Garden Party 2012 will be:
THE LOS PALMAS 6 - MADNESS TRIBUTE
The Los Palmas 6 was formed in 2000 and has seen huge success playing all over the world to thousands of Madness fans. They are the only 7 piece Madness tribute and therefore the most authentic, capturing the essence of the music they portray. Woody and Lee from Madness have depped with them confirming how good a tribute they are and Steve Turner - sax player with LP6 continues to play with the real Madness and has done for over 9 years now, including a tour of Australia and some live performances on Jools Holland’s Later show.
NAVI - THE WORLD’S NO.1 MICHAEL JACKSON IMPERSONATOR
A stunning tribute to the King of Pop. Since the passing of Michael Jackson in June 2009, Navi has been in demand more than ever, performing around 200 shows annually and has appeared in 55 different countries across 5 continents. Navi has visited the ‘Neverland Ranch’ through a personal invitation form the man himself and even performed for Jackson on a number of occasions, including being the opening act at his Michael’s 45th birthday party in Los Angeles.
